Visit Haiti!

Visiting the St. Joseph Family can be a life-changing experience. Explore Haiti with the help of our partners at the St. Joseph Family.

Due to the worldwide COVID-19 situation, Haiti has closed its borders so travel is not possible at this time. Whenever the borders are again open  the St. Joseph Family will evaluate the possibility to welcome guests based on the COVID-19 status and the political situation in Haiti. Let us know of your interest in visiting and we will keep you updated.

The Welcome Centers at the SJ Community Outreach Center and Wings of Hope welcome guests to Haiti in safe and beautiful accommodations, with two delicious meals a day included. Visit through the Come. See. Be. Program, or as a group making your own travel plans.

Why visit Haiti?

For a life-changing experience and an all-around good time.

Interacting with the residents of Wings of Hope is a life-affirming experience. To facilitate your time at Wings, a comfortable guest house is maintained on the property, with accommodations available by reservation year-round.  Breakfast and dinner are included in the nightly fee of $55. A co-ed bunk room that sleeps up to 28 guests and two private rooms are available. The view of Jacmel Bay from the roof is amazing!

At the end of a long day in the Jacmel sun, visitors can enjoy respite in the cool ocean waters, only a 5-10 minute walk from the guest house. Downtown Jacmel also is a wonderful tourist destination, boasting many talented artisans and craftspeople. The beach-side town is undergoing multi-phased renovations, making it an extremely pleasant side trip and glimpse into Haitian culture.
